The downtown merchants of historic Fort Walton Beach invite you the 3rd Friday of each month to "Downtown Art Walk." Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival
October 16th, 17th, and 18th
This annual festival promises a great time for the entire family with big-name entertainment, quality fine art, hand-crafts, exhibits, and a staggering array of food concessions. Performing on Friday night will be Chuck Wicks, Blake Shelton performs Saturday night. Billy Ray Cyrus will close out the Festival. 6th Annual Rootin' Tootin' Rodeo Roundup

14th Annual Festival of the Arts
October 24th & 25th
One of Northwest Florida's premier fine art shows, over 100 juried artists from around the United States will compete for cash prizes at the 14th annual Destin Festival of the Arts at Henderson Beach State Park. 22nd Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow
November 3rd through November 8th
The 22nd Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow is once again being presented by Eglin Air Force Base and the Thunderbird Intertribal Council (a 501 c 3 non-profit Organization). This event will be held at the Mullet Festival Grounds in Niceville, FL on November 6 - 8, 2009. The first day of the event features Children’s Day from 9am to 2pm. All area school children are invited to participate with hands-on demonstrations by the Indian Temple Mound, Eglin Archeological, Valparaiso Heritage Museum, just to name a few. The entire event will feature Native American dancers, drummers, and craft demonstration. In the past, over 10,000 people attended this 3-day powwow. This is a wonderful event aimed at educating the local community about Native Americans and their role in the past and in modern day. The main powwow starts at 7pm on Friday and runs thru Sunday, with closing ceremonies at 4pm. Dancers from all over the country will compete Saturday night.
